We received two mares last winter, Shima and Stormy, 
both pregnant and being used to manufacture Premarin,
a drug made with pregnant mare urine.

By spring they gave birth to two healthy colts,
Second Chance and Milagro ("Miracle").

All four horses are now enjoying the wide open spaces
and green pastures of Kindness Ranch. 

With the freedom to run instead of being confined to
small stalls, all are thriving on the shortgrass prairie
of the American Sanctuary for Research Animals.
